This edition of 3 is inspired by the Bob Dylan song Idiot Wind from the album Blood on the Tracks. Each copy is entirely hand drawn and comes with a custom inlaid clamshell box. Each set of drawings was made 3 times, so each copy has the same content but is a completely unique work of art. Copy B is featured here.
The cover of the clamshell box features an inlaid drawing on the cover and spine.
The book cover of each copy is an inlaid drawing made by building up layers of paper with embedded words and images.
Each page is inspired by a specific line from Idiot Wind by Bob Dylan.
Each drawing is done by hand and is completely unique from the other copies. Each set of drawings though inspired by the same imagery take on their own characteristics and personality. The embedded text references the lyrics from the song.
Each page, while inspired by specific lyrics from Idiot Wind, does not direcly correlate with the narrative of the song. The song provides a template from which the imagery is extrapolated.
